D’Alesio & Santoro is an Italian Lighting Design studio, founded by Carlo D’Alesio and Piero Santoro, two young lighting professionals with several projects and years of experience in the sector under their belt.
Born in 1982, the two founders graduated in Industrial Design and obtained a Master in Lighting Design and Technologies from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2006.
Carlo D’Alesio began his career as a Lighting Designer and Project Manager for Metis Lighting studio in Milan, while Piero Santoro filled the role of technical director Italia for 3M Italy LMS (Lighting Management Solutions).
Their different yet complementary experience in the field formed the basis for the success of their business as independent professionals. The team, besides D’Alesio and Santoro, was later joined by Massimo Di Filippo as Senior Design Engineer, for managing relationships with other consultants, artists and professionals.
The studio provides consultancy for lighting design in different sectors and applications ranging from architecture, product and automotive design and art, to mention a few.
In partnership with D’Alesio & Santoro, Reggiani has developed Spectra, an elegant, minimalist and linear pendant with a simple and slim design, that is bright and efficient at the same time.
