Italian children’s clothing brand Il Gufo continues with its Retail Development plan, opening its first London boutique, at 313 Brompton Road, in the heart of South Kensington. In a space that represents its values and style, Il Gufo’s baby, boy’s and girl’s collections are on sale, complete with accessories and footwear.

“The furnishings are Nordic-inspired, and hornbeam and oak wood dominate. The aim was to lighten the volumes and make the spaces more welcoming, almost homely”, said Alessandra Chiavelli, CEO of the brand and the driving force behind Il Gufo’s Retail Development. The windows open inwards, letting the spaces express themselves through totally natural materials: a philosophy with nature and the child at its centre. There are also handmade features, such as the large tree designed especially for the brand’s Milan and Paris boutiques.

This setting required lighting that would enhance the collections of clothes on display with high quality light (SDCM <2 and CRI> 90) and at the same time slotting discreetly into the minimalist, Nordic-inspired look of the whole shop. So they chose projectors from the Yori Evo Ghostrack family, which, with their elegant lines and hidden power driver (patented technology), integrated perfectly with the architecture of the space.

The Precision optics allowed the use of reduced power (17 W with 12° narrow beams and 20° medium beams) and a projector just 60 mm in diameter, whilst also ensuring excellent illuminance and optimal light distribution accuracy.
