For the flagship restaurant of AQUA Restaurant Group in New York, it was essential to preserve the design principles that define the brand internationally. The project, designed by London-based Robert Angell International and supported locally by Shalat Architects, required precise lighting solutions capable of enhancing the drama of the plating and the overall dining experience.

In collaboration with ALD, we organized sample reviews in both London and New York, allowing the lighting design team and the client to simultaneously evaluate optics and color temperature.

Located in a striking space between 20th and 21st Street along Broadway, the restaurant offers a contemporary interpretation of Japanese and Italian cuisine. Our lighting solutions blend seamlessly into the architecture, allowing the food, bespoke fixtures, and overall experience to take center stage.

YORI 48V spotlights with 7° optics were selected for table pin-spotting, complemented by 30° optics for soft ambient lighting. All fixtures were fitted with color-warming LED to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere, in line with the refined identity of the venue.
